This is a blend of ale and lager yeast strains. The strains work together to create a clean, crisp, light American lager style ale. A pleasing estery aroma may be perceived from the ale yeast contribution. Hop flavors and bitterness are slightly subdued. Slight sulfur will be produced during fermentation, from the lager yeast.

The Cream Ale Yeast Blend, for me, is the end all be all for Cream Ale Recipes. Its the balance between a clean fermenting ale yeast and two lager strains that perform well at ale temps, giving you the perfect balance of clean malt character and that crisp, lager-like quality that I look for when I drink a Cream Ale.
Keep in mind that weve tested this theory pretty hard! Weve done cream ales with A43 Loki, A07 Flagship, Wyeast 1007 German Ale, and even dipped into the dry strains and tried Nottingham.
