Another amazing strain for Alts and Dunkels, this strain accentuates malt characteristics while still having a solid attenuation percentage. Commercially, you see tons of breweries using this for their yearly Oktoberfest releases when they don’t want to tie up a fermentor for 28 days, and it definitely shines in that application, too. While it lacks that ‘lager-like’ characteristic, it’s still dry, clean and malt forward, which is perfect as a sub for German Lager yeasts if you don’t have the ability to ferment at lager temperatures.

Optimum Ferment Temp.: 65-69°F (18-20°C)
