Description

500 g package.  Replacement saddles for the T500 Condenser Series.  SS saddles are preferred over ceramic saddles, as the ceramic can absorb the unwanted impurities for the wash.  Stainless Steel Saddles help with the reflux action that removes these impurities, helping to keep the final product cleaner, as well as lasting longer.

For best results, make sure that you clean your saddles every time you use them.  This will help create a cleaner and more consistent product.

  • What is packed volume of 500 g of stainless steel saddles or what is the weight / unit volume?

    Each circular saddle weighs 0.62 g, and measures 7/16" long with a 3/8" diameter.  In terms of volume, they will fill a 32 oz mason jar completely with 21.5 g worth of saddles left over.

  • Do all colums need to run saddles or is this a specific item for a specific still. New and learning all i can before running my distiller. Im running a keg style still with a 2inch wide riser thats 36" tall then to thumper and from there then to a worm. Thanks for your input it is greatly appreciated.

    Awesome questions!  Saddles, or any kind of packing, will help increase the surface area inside of the column, and increase both the efficiency and the useable output of the column.  Using saddles in conjunction with a thumper will greatly increase the proof coming off of the still once you have it dialed.
