Rosehips, Dried 2 oz
Rosehips add a distinct floral aroma, a very distinct fruity flavor, and some light, rose color. They are ideal for fermentations where you want to add a tart, fruity sweetness without adding extra sugar. Try them for dry meads, dry ciders, and fruit wines to round out the fruit characteristics, or in beer styles like Hefeweizen, Wit, IPA or Stout for light, fruity characteristic. Rosehips pair very well with Hibiscus, so don't be afraid to experiment!
Add at a rate of 1/2 – 2 oz per 5 gallon batch, either at the very end of the boil, in fermentation, or both for a full spectrum of flavor.
