QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Does using extra light pilson DME have a very malt forward flavour? I’m an extract brewer and I want to make a very malt forward very light colour beer as I’m trying to clone sol beer

Yes, the Pilsen malt will give you some malt character, but it's best to use steeping grains, like Munich or Maris Otter, to help add that super malt forward aspect to your finished beer.  For a lighter beer like Sol, consider some American Pilsner as a steeping grain alongside your malt extract.

  • Pease can one use malt extract for production of non alcoholic beverages? Like (MILO)

Yes, this malt extract can be used for any application where this kind of sugar is appropriate.
