1 oz package of Bitter Orange Peel

Bitter Orange Peel is sourced from the fruit of the Citrus aurantium class of oranges, and is known for adding strong citrus and herbal flavors and aroma to beer, wine, mead or cider. It is used often for many Belgian Style beers, especially Wits. Pairs very well with Coriander.

Directions for Use

Add 1/2 - 1 oz Bitter Orange Peel at the end of the boil (10 minutes or below), during fermentation, or both to get the full spectrum of flavors.  Flavors can also be extracted using a tincture.  Add 1 oz Bitter Orange Peels to a clean, neutral spirit and allow 5 - 7 days for extraction.  Add finished tincture at packaging, either in the bottling bucket or the keg, to taste.
