Mosaic Whole Cone Hops - 1 oz
Description
US Mosaic Whole Cone Hops, 1 oz sealed package
Invented by Jason Perrault (creator of Citra) through Select Botanicals and the Hop Breeding Company, Mosaic is the 6th highest production hop crop in the United States. It's lineage includes a Simcoe female and a Nugget male, this hop was released in 2012 after over 10 years of development.
Usage
Mosaic is an ideal dual purpose hop, with low cohumulones that make the bitter profile pleasant and tons of multifaceted flavors for late additions and dry hop additions. Due to it's popularity and general cost, more often than not Mosaic is combined deliciously with fruity and citrusy hops in late and dry hop additions. Also brilliant as a single hop variety due to it's multifaceted flavor and aroma profile.
Aroma and Flavor
Expect a uniquely complex flavor and aroma profile from Mosaic, including distinct berry characteristics and mango. Also known for showing off stone fruit, bubblegum, and other tropical flavors, it also boasts a two tone flavor that is rich in earthy pine and herbal spice, making a wonderful counterbalance and helping to enhance other fruity and citrusy hops.
