Lalvin BM 4x4
A blend of strains, BM 4 x 4 is great for Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Zinfandel, Nebbiolo, and Chardonnay style wines.
Lalvin BM 4X4® is a blend of BM45 and a complimentary strain chosen by Lallemand to provide all the advantages of BM45 with even greater reliability under difficult conditions.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
How many days would it take normally to transfer wine that I am making using bm 4x4 yeast in a half a gallon mix.
BM 4x4 will usually finish fermentation and clean up in about 14 days. After that, but before 30 days, the must can be transferred to a 'secondary' or bulk aging vessel. Test gravity before transferring to make sure that it's at terminal gravity (usually .998 or lower with wine must).
How much out of small pack do you add to 2 quarts of product
A standard pitching rate with these 5 g packages is about 1 gram per gallon, so for a half gallon, half of a gram would be sufficient. If the specific gravity or brix measurement is extremely high, consider adding 1 - 2 grams to give the yeast more cells to work with in the higher sugar product.
