Kohatu T-90 Hop Pellets - 1 Lb
Description
New Zealand Kohatu T90 Hop Pellets, 1 pound bulk package
Released in 2011 with it's sister Wai-iti, Kohatu is a descendant of Hallertau Mittelfruh and a New Zealand Male that has North American and European parentage. Named for the Maori word meaning 'stone' or 'rock'.
Usage
A truly dual purpose hop, Kohatu shines as a bittering hop with such low co-humulones and lends a clean and quality bitterness to any beer style. It also performs extremely well in late additions, giving stable and consistently bright tropical fruit flavors and aromas. This hop has the ideal characteristics for a single hop pale ale or IPA.
Aroma and Flavor
Expect pleasant tropical fruit with bright lime and pineapple balanced with subtle hints of floral pine needles. High myrcene levels give you a bright and fresh tropical character in the dry hop.
