It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of BrewChatter after 10 wonderful years of serving our fellow brewers and community. Due to various unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to shut down operations ending March 31st.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support, loyalty, and friendship throughout the years. We would not have been able to achieve such success without you, and we are truly grateful for the opportunities you have given us.

During the next couple weeks, we will be wrapping up any outstanding projects, having a massive liquidation sale and fulfilling any pending orders. We will do everything we can to minimize any inconvenience caused. Thank you again for your understanding and support during this difficult time.

American Heavy Oak Spirals will add slightly smokey, espresso and pepper aromas and roasted flavors to any beer, wine, mead or distillate.

The big surface area of the spiral design allows a shorter pickup time of wood character. Allowing adequate wood impact in a matter of 7 to 14 days of contact time. Remember to taste regularly after 1-2 weeks, as there is no hard and fast rule for adding oak character to any project. You must taste and smell to get it right!

2-8" Spirals per package

Add at a rate of 2 spirals per 5 gallons beer, wine, mead or cider, and at a rate of 4" spiral per pint of distillate

  • Can these be used more than once?

    Yes, they can be used more than once, although you lose potency with every use, and it takes longer infuse oak flavor and characteristics with every use.
