Description:
This not-so-standard Pilsner Malt Recipe is an All Grain American Pale Ale that features American Pilsner Malt instead of regular pale malt, and takes this beer style to a whole new level! Briess Synergy Pilsner adds a light, cracker crispness to this hop bomb of a pale ale, and hints of black tea, earth and tropical flavors from Idaho 7 hops make this a surprisingly complex single hop “Imperial” Pale Ale. The higher alpha acids give you a distinct and complex hop bitterness while sticky, piney resinous characters lurk in the background and provide the depth usually only found in heavily hopped IPAs. This beer is light in color, clear in character, incredible in flavor, and endlessly drinkable by nature. We’re sorry in advance, because this Pale Ale is too good to only make once, and all of your hop-head friends will agree!
