A low alcohol, easy drinking brown ale with hints of honey, toffee, and sweet, floral UK hops. Backed by a solid malt backbone and tons of malty dimension, we add Honey malt to add a hint of true honey character to play with the other specialty malts, giving this beer tons of complexity in a small, approachable package.
Our Honey Nut Brown is decidedly more of an English style Brown Ale, leaving behind the bolder hops that you see in American Browns like our Mac's Brown Ale or Janet's Brown Ale and instead giving you a light and subtle hop character that accentuates the malty goodness of this beer.

For our HNB, we started with a pretty classic Southern English Brown Ale as our base. We wanted to Americanize it just a little and thought who hates a brown ale with honey? But honey, my friends, can be tricky! To get the honey character to come through instead of just drying the whole thing out and losing that killer English malt character, we decided to add in just a little Honey Malt. This gave us a distinct honey character but left us that nice, malty backbone that we love. This Beer Kit has been around for a while, and is an absolute fan favorite.
