Description:
Gambrinus Honey Malt is what brewers use instead of honey to add a slight to intense honey flavor and aroma to many beer styles. Although you can use Honey Malt as up to 25% of the grist in darker, fuller flavored specialty beers, this malt can easily become overpowering over 10% in lighter styles. Honey malt will add a distinct honey flavor and aroma, as well as a distinct residual sweetness and silky mouthfeel. Very similar to (same as) Melanoiden Malt.
This malt does have diastatic power, and is capable of being up to 100% of the grist. Great malt for distillation use.
Note: Sold by the pound.
