Dear fellow brewers,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of BrewChatter after 10 wonderful years of serving our fellow brewers and community. Due to various unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to shut down operations ending March 31st.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support, loyalty, and friendship throughout the years. We would not have been able to achieve such success without you, and we are truly grateful for the opportunities you have given us.

During the next couple weeks, we will be wrapping up any outstanding projects, having a massive liquidation sale and fulfilling any pending orders. We will do everything we can to minimize any inconvenience caused. Thank you again for your understanding and support during this difficult time.

Sincerely, Josh & RJ

Description

US El Dorado T90 Hop Pellets, 1 Pound sealed bulk package

El Dorado, translated as 'The Golden Dream', was created at CLS Farms and purportedly developed in two years before being released in 2010.  El Dorado is a cross with a wild, American male.

Usage

El Dorado gives a firm, balanced bitterness without being overwhelming.  Although the bittering profile can be lightly pithy or rind-y, it is an ideal bittering hop for both hoppy and balanced beer styles.  Expect an array of flavors and a distinct sweetness known for helping push other hop flavors and aromas to the forefront.

Aroma and Flavor

Expect a distinctly sweet profile, almost like candy, with big hints of cherry, stone fruit and apricot, as well as pear and light watermelon.  Although there are notes of light, fresh cut grass, these are distinctly subdued and usually stay in the background acting as a counter-balance to the big, candy-like fruity characteristics.

Eldorado is one of the best ‘pusher’ hops that I’ve used, especially when you want to pull citrus or tropical characteristics out of IPAs.  By itself, it’s somewhat one dimensional with a sweet, candied characteristic.  Maybe not the most ideal hop for a SMASH, but it still comes out pretty good.  It’s real superpower is helping to push forward brighter hop terpenes, adding a solid punch to the rest of the finishing and dry hops in your favorite IPA.  Try it with a blend of CitraSimcoe and Azacca and stand back!
