Our Chocolate Saison is so out in left field and so un-expected that it will become part of your regular rotation! Even though you're expecting a decadent, out of place chocolate character, what comes through is the distinct aroma of organic cacao that melds perfectly with earthy, saison yeast characteristics and a light, nutty backbone. Even though this beer has a slightly higher finishing gravity, it tastes crisp, clean and amazingly complex. For a lighter, slightly sweeter version, or to make an incredible brettanomyces saison, we recommend WLP546 Marañón Canyon Wild Cacao (when it's available) or Wyeast 3724 Belgian Saison. For a dryer, crisper and higher alcohol saison, try this with B64 Napoleon or Wyeast 3711.
