Briess Cherrywood Smoked Malt is a sweet and delicious Smoked malt, giving you big BBQ-y and sweet/smokey flavors. Because of the lighter and sweeter profile, you can safely use up to 5% for a lightly smoked character in Scottish and German styles, 10% - 20% for a more pronounced smoked character, and up to 60% to add a very distinct smoked character in any beer style, although this goes very well in Stouts, Porters, and darker, maltier styles. as much as 20% Cherrywood Smoked Malt as part of your grist without it becoming overpowering or taking over. For the brave, it is technically a base malt, and can be used as 100% of the grist!
