Our Hazy, New England Style Double IPA is an ideal example of the hazy IPA style, but bumped up to a mean double! This recipe was created for the 2021 BrewChatter Brew Strong Competition. We use the highest quality American malts, courtesy of Briess, and a pound of fresh, delicious hops in a profile that will not disappoint. Expect big notes of citrus and tropical fruits with a candy-like sweetness, balanced by undertones of dank and pine. This beer comes out bright and juicy with all of the haze that you love and brilliant malt character to balance it all out.

The Third of three recipes for the National BrewChallenge Brew Strong Competition. We came up with this recipe using WLP 067 Coastal Haze and NO bittering hops whatsoever! I’ll admit, that kind of weirds me out, but the way this IPA comes out is incredible! Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado and Idaho 7 come together in a fantastically ridiculous fruit bomb full of juice and magic. We also use Briess Maltgems, which is an incredible pre-ground Synergy malt product that they mill perfectly to ensure maximum efficiency and lautering.
