Are you ready to brew outside of the box?! That's good, because that's what our Blue Eyed Blonde is all about! First, you start with a simple and solid Blonde recipe. Something light and crisp for summer drinking, but with enough backbone to be reminiscent of German Lagers. Then, you turn the whole thing upside down with Agave added during fermentation. This gives you a perception of dryness by the end with a very cool, very distinct Agave kick! Also goes VERY well with added fruit puree!

We originally created this beer as a base for making fruited blonde ales. We found that using agave gives the beer a wonderful dryness as well as a unique perception of sweetness that plays really well with just about any fruit puree! It helps bring out the fruit character without having to back-sweeten or use a Fruit Flavor extract, although that always makes the fruit character jump out of the glass. Fun fact, this beer stands up on it’s own with no fruit at all as a stellar, easy drinking blonde ale! Try it with Imperial Flagship for a clean, American style blonde, or with a fruity Belgian strain like WLP 530 to help push out your chosen fruit.
