It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of BrewChatter after 10 wonderful years of serving our fellow brewers and community. Due to various unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to shut down operations ending March 31st.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support, loyalty, and friendship throughout the years. We would not have been able to achieve such success without you, and we are truly grateful for the opportunities you have given us.

During the next couple weeks, we will be wrapping up any outstanding projects, having a massive liquidation sale and fulfilling any pending orders. We will do everything we can to minimize any inconvenience caused. Thank you again for your understanding and support during this difficult time.

Description:

Our Big Burton is a take on an old school English style IPA, sometimes called English Strong Ale.  It’s bigger and beefier than many British style ales, but not quite in Old Ale or Barley wine territory.  It’s just a little lighter, a little easier drinking, but with the big flavor profile that you want.  This beer explodes with flavor and dimension on your tongue, blowing up your palette with strong Maris Otter malt and English caramel characteristics and following it up with light earth from Fuggle hops and a deep, toasted biscuit and maillard flavors from an extra long boil and molasses.  For those of us that want the perfect winter seasonal with no spices and tons of character, this is the perfect beer!

The BrewChatter Official Recipe of Learn To Homebrew Day 2021, this British Strong Ale is such a killer beer.  It’s perfect for when the weather starts to cool down, and you feel like you want something malt forward that tastes big, but is only 7% - 8% ABV.  This is the perfect holiday ale for those who don’t want something spiced up.  Don’t just brew it around the holidays, though!  For those of us who appreciate a killer and authentic English style beer year round that isn’t 4% or 5%, it’s surprisingly refreshing!
