Belgian Pilsner Malt



The lightest colored Belgian malt produced from the finest European 2 row spring barley.  Belgian Pilsner is perfectly suited for single step infusion mashing.  Flavor characteristic include a strong, sweet malt flavor.  This malt has enough enzymatic power to be 100% of the base malt.

Remember that pilsner malts are kilned at lower temperatures, and require a 90 minute boil to boil off the pre-cursor to Dimethyl sufide (DMS), which can lend your beer a cooked corn characteristic that is not pleasant.
