Very smooth with an intense maltiness and deep golden and orange hues. Briess Aromatic Munich malt is a European-style munich malt with clean, intensely malty flavor. When used in your beer at rates of up to 5-15%, Briess Aromatic Munich malt will give any style enhanced malty flavor and aroma. Up to 50% for Bock/Doppelbock style beers for an exaggerated maltiness.
Aromatic Munich malt has sufficient enzymatic power to convert itself, and although mashing is preferable, steeping this specialty will impart it's unique characteristics to any beer.

Briess Aromatic Munich is the perfect Munich Malt / Crystal hybrid for Bock style beers and other malt forward, German style lagers like Oktoberfest. To me, it’s very reminiscent of the Crystal Rye malt that we carry (only way lighter). It has a beautiful, malt forward characteristic without being super overbearing. I’d like to try it at around 10% in a Wee Heavy or an English style Barleywine!
