Description
Smoked using apple wood, this amazing malt contributes an intensely smokey, smooth and sweet flavor. This malt is ideal for any beer style that you want to develop a rich, robust smoky characteristic. For the brave, it is technically a base malt, and can be used as 100% of the grist!
Try it at 5% to 10% for a noticeable smoke character in lighter styles like Oktoberfest or other lagers, 10% to 20% for a distinct smoke characteristic in most beer styles, and up to 60% for more traditional rauchbier styles, smoked porters, or any beer that you want intense smoke character.
