Dear fellow brewers,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of BrewChatter after 10 wonderful years of serving our fellow brewers and community. Due to various unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to shut down operations ending March 31st.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support, loyalty, and friendship throughout the years. We would not have been able to achieve such success without you, and we are truly grateful for the opportunities you have given us.

During the next couple weeks, we will be wrapping up any outstanding projects, having a massive liquidation sale and fulfilling any pending orders. We will do everything we can to minimize any inconvenience caused. Thank you again for your understanding and support during this difficult time.

Sincerely, Josh & RJ

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Is this gluten-free?

Yes, this contains only corn sugar (destrose) and amylase enzyme.  No gluten derived ingredients.

  • What is the percent amylase and dextrose?

Our Amylase Enzyme is 4.2% Amylase by weight.

  • can I use this to make laundry soap? is there a difference?

Yes, amylase enzyme is used in many laundry detergents to break down the starch molecules.  This will do the same thing if you want to add it to your homemade laundry detergent.

  • is this nessary to make mash I'm a begonner

Adding amylase to the mash is only necessary if you are using under modified grain or 100% of something like Corn.  All base grains have enough amylase in them to convert themselves just fine, and American 2 Row, American 6 Row, and Irish Distiller's Malt have enough amylase to convert themselves as well as extra corn, rice, or any other grain that is added to the mash.
