How to Whitelist Our Newsletters

We're glad to have you as part of the BrewChatter Community!  We're super excited to share our home brew knowledge with you, and we want to make sure that you don't miss an email, whether it's our weekly newsletter, a killer sale, or your order and shipping confirmation.  Here we have step by step instructions for whatever email service that you use to make sure that we're whitelisted so you don't miss any notifications!

First and foremost, make sure that '@brewchatter.com' is listed as a Safe Sender in your email client.  Scroll down for instructions on how!

For Gmail
  1. Open our email in your Gmail
  2. Hover over our name in the sender's section
  3. Select 'Add to Contacts' to save us

You can also create a Filter in Gmail to stop our messages from going into your Spam or Junk Folders. 

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right corner
  2. Select the 'Settings' menu from the drop-down menu
  3. Choose 'Create a New Filter'

If you use tabs in Gmail, you can set it to have future emails appear in the 'Primary' tab instead of the 'Promotions' tab, or a different tab.

  1. Drag and Drop our latest email to your 'Primary' tab
  2. When the black box appears that says:  "Conversation moved to Primary.  Do this for future messages from whatsbrewing@brewchatter.com?", simply click YES!

If you use the Gmail app, you can move our Emails to 'Primary'

  1. Tap on the hamburger icon in the top left-hand corner and select 'Promotions'
  2. Open our email
  3. Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of your screen
  4. Select 'Move to', then 'Primary'
For Outlook Desktop
  1. Select the email in the preview pane
  2. Right-click and select 'Junk' at the bottom of the list
  3. Choose 'Junk Email Options'
  4. In the pop up window, choose the 'Safe Senders' Tab
  5. Click the 'Add' Button
  6. Type in 'brewchatter.com' as a safe sender domain
  7. Click 'OK'
For Outlook Web Access (OWA)
  1. Find and click the 'Settings' gear icon in the top right hand corner
  2. Choose 'Mail' then 'Options' from the drop down menu
  3. Under 'Options' select 'Block or Allow'
  4. Enter 'brewchatter.com' where it says "Enter a sender or domain here" text box
  5. Click on the 'Add' icon (the + symbol) next to the text box
  6. Click 'Save'
For Apple Mail (OS X and iOS)
  1. Open the email
  2. Select the 'From' or the 'Reply-to' email address
  3. Choose 'Create New Contact' or 'Add to VIPs'
For Android
  1. Open the email
  2. Tap the sender's name that displays before the message
  3. Choose 'Add to Contacts'
  4. Select 'OK'
For Yahoo
  1. Go to 'Settings' in the top right hand corner
  2. Select 'More Settings' at the bottom
  3. Click on 'Filters' in the left sidebar
  4. Choose '+Add new filters'
  5. Giver your filter a name, such as Best Homebrew Shop Ever or BrewChatter
  6. Under 'Set Rules', select 'contains' and enter '@brewchatter.com'
  7. Click 'Save'

If you still can't see our emails, head over to your Spam folder and peruse through.  If our emails are in there, make sure to mark them as 'Not Spam'!
