BrewChatter Shipping Policy

BrewChatter Shipping Philosophy

We have one goal with shipping:  To get your order to you as quickly, safely and cost effectively as possible.  It's that simple!  We primarily ship via USPS, UPS and FedEx, which can take 5 - 7 business days coast-to-coast.  Most products ship from our warehouse in Sparks, NV.

Our Process

Packages are generally dispatched within 2-3 business days, after receipt of payment, unless otherwise noted on the product, and are primarily shipped via FedEx, UPS or USPS with tracking and drop-off without signature (unless otherwise requested or required).  Whichever shipment choice you make, we will provide you with a link to track your package online.  Orders received by 2 pm PST Monday thru Friday will be shipped the same day, and orders received after 2 pm PST will be shipped the next morning.  All orders received Saturday and Sunday will be shipped Monday. 

Shipping Liquid Yeast

If your order contains liquid yeast, we will provide 1 FREE ice pack per package of liquid yeast.  If you'd like to add extra ice packs, simply add as many as you would like to your cart, and our Brew Ninjas will safely package your chosen liquid yeast strains with all of the extra ice packs. 

We recommend that you choose an expedited shipping service for liquid yeast strains.

Shipping Costs

We are not in business to profit from shipping, and therefore Do Not make a profit from shipping.  Our shipping fees include postage costs, which are passed to the customer directly from the shipper, based on the total weight and dimensions of the order, plus fixed handling and packaging fees to ensure the proper packaging and safe delivery for each order.   
We do not under-pack or over-pack boxes, and ensure that everything is well protected and properly sized for each individual order.  

Will Call / In Store Pickup

BrewChatter also offers local, in-store pick-up for any order.  Simply select the 'Will Call' option at check out to take advantage of this feature.  If you are not a local customer, this option is not available.

Free Shipping From BrewChatter

BrewChatter also offers FREE SHIPPING on most orders over $59 , which excludes some items, including all BULK GRAINS, Wine Ingredient Kits, and items or groups of items over 49 lbs.  We only offer our FREE SHIPPING Program in the 48 Contiguous United States.  Simply choose FREE SHIPPING FROM BREWCHATTER at checkout to take advantage of this great deal!

Delivery Time

Delivery Time is dependent on 2 factors:

1.  "Availability". Most products ship in 2 – 3 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product (i.e. Special Order Item).  We do our best to send orders out as quickly as possible, although some items may take longer, dependent upon factors such as Special Order Status, Stock Levels, and Shipper Availability.  We always strive to ship orders the same day or within 24 hours of each order, although it will not always be possible.   

2.  The method of delivery - our shipping method is either UPS, USPS, or FedEx Ground (commercial addresses) or FedEx Home Delivery (residential addresses), depending upon the products and your chosen shipping method.  Please note that despite published delivery times, delivery dates may not be guaranteed by your chosen shipping service.   FedEx Express Saver takes 3 business days; 2nd Day Air is two business days, and there are several options for Overnight delivery based on the time of day to be delivered and your chosen shipping service.  

Additionally, please note that delivery time is also based on business days. For example, if you place an order on Sunday or Federal Holiday, it's impossible for us to ship an item the same day as all the shippers are closed.   

Return and Exchange Policy

All perishable and/or consumable items, including grains, hops, malt extract, and yeast are not returnable. Defective equipment and/or materials can be returned within 30 days of purchase. All returns are handled on a case by case basis. To return an item please call 1-775-358-0477 or email at to start the return process. If emailing, please include your name and order number along with a description of the problem.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund, as well as a 15% restocking fee.  Refunds are issued after we have received the product.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
