Very smooth with an intense maltiness, with deep golden and orange hues. Aromatic malt is a hybrid Munich malt.
When used in your beer at rates of up to 10%, Aromatic malt will give you a distinct, almost exaggerated malt aroma and flavor.
Up to 20% will give you raisin notes, and up to 50% in British Milds, Porters and Bocks to enhance malty and fruity characteristics. Aromatic has enough enzymatic power to convert itself, and although mashing is preferable, steeping this specialty will impart it's characteristics to the beer.
